Two or four airbags for air suspension?
Nov 12,2021
The air suspension of the two airbags is actually a combination of the leaf spring structure and the airbag structure, with 2 and a half leaf springs in the front and 2 airbags in the rear. In terms of vibration damping performance, the vibration damping effect of four airbags is better than that of two airbags, but the suspension structure of the two airbags is simple and lightweight, and the mechanical transmission (vehicle driving force and braking force) of the two airbag structures is still by the front leaf spring lifting lugs; Transverse force (turning) installs a transverse thrust rod between the axle shell and a side stringer; A connecting rod is installed between the two airbags, which plays the effect of a lateral stabilizer bar; The load bearing and damping in the upper and lower directions is done by a combination of front leaf springs and rear airbags. When comparing the unloaded and fully loaded vehicles, the entire axle rotates around the front leaf spring lugs in a small amount, and the axle and longitudinal members will also have a small amount of relative lateral displacement. Due to the simple structure and light weight of the two-airbag air suspension, all air-suspension trailers adopt a two-airbag structure. For pulling fragile goods, it is recommended to choose a four-air bag structure, which has a better vibration damping effect. In addition, the four-airbag structure has a large number of models, and it is convenient to replace parts.
